I was asked to make this post about an ongoing problem I’ve been having.
For a couple of weeks I’ve been having a problem with getting an error message when I voat on a post. I’ve not noticed it with voating on comments.
At first I saw that if I voated on a post in the post, when I returned to the main screen the voat count had not changed. When I tried to voat from the main page, I get an error message above the post title that says, An error has occurred :(. It was not all the time.
In trying to duplicate this again to make sure I was stating everything correctly, I am getting no messages and my voats are counting, both up and down.
I’ve not closed my voat tab nor rebooted my iPhone. I have no explanation for the magical fix. I will, however, pay attention and come back here if the issue arises again.

That just happened to me when I tried to comment on the GA Heartbeat bill post. Wouldn't allow me to submit.

just keep trying

I’ll be paying attention. And my personal life was really busy during this time so I’ve not really been away from the GA subverse. If it should start again, I’ll check to see if it’s only GA or sitewide for me.

This is somewhat of a KNOWN issue. It seems that changing the page state within 3 seconds of making a vote will produce this error, but it is not actually an error -- your vote still registers despite the error.

My voat had not been registering. That was my issue.

Wait a few seconds and then refresh the page and I think you'll find that it does register.

I’m getting the error again. Have refreshed, then closed out and come back, and it’s still happening. Just FYI.
