I've never tried this before, and so I tried this on you: here. (I got the same result).

I assume this is known and EXPECTED. This is likely because, with the way Voat is implemented right now, you have to be logged in to view users' submission pages (I don't think this was always the case, but might have been changed to combat the recent DDOS attacks). Thus trying to archive page data that requires the viewer be logged into an account will produce this result, since archive sites don't have access to the account data of the person logged in and attempting to archive.

I figured it was something to do with the DDOS attacks. But now this leaves users to spam then delete the proof. I guess I'll need to take screenshots again.

You can still archive the individual submissions. Might be more work, but proving that spammers have spammed remains a possibility.
