The crux of it is really that they've made it very dangerous for men to interact with women. You get married, you set yourself up to lose a lot of money and your kids. Sleep around, you get accused of rape for the time both of you got drunk and she regretted it in the morning. Or in my case have a fuck buddy catch the feelings and get pissed off that I didn't want something more. Causally date, if she gets pregnant it 100% her choice if she want to drag you along for the ride for the next 20 years. And women can always "forget to take the pill", had a girl I was dating lie to me about taking her BC because she wanted me to marry her.

Now I understand that everything has risk involved, but they have made it impossible to mitigate that risk. The only low risk mitigation technique you have is not to play that game. But I'm still waiting for them to put consequences on that too.

Hard mode: she "forgets" to take her pill in order to lock you in with a kid, then six months after the kid is born CHANGES HER MIND AND LEAVES.

Kill me.

Well you could always get a vasectomy. I basically recommend that to almost everybody.

Had a woman the other day ask me why I wasn't married. Told her effectively this and how I'm not willing to deal with the scenario where the woman suddenly decides that I'm not the one, files, and then leaves me with the bill.

"I'd never do that. I'm not that kind of person".

Sorry if I don't take your word for it.

In the equation of life men are the constants and women are the variables. I have enough variables in my life.

Seen a lot of this shit in the smaller city I lived in. Had to move to one of the bigger cities where that bullshit is lessened.

Except the rape stuff. That's everywhere.

Child support should start with a DNA test though.

Child support would make sense if the mother had to account for how the money was spent. My parents divorced when I was a child and I guarantee 50% of my fathers child support payments didn't go toward my brother or I, either directly or indirectly.

It would but it is based on income, not needs of the children. Man with good paying job and woman with minimum wage job... You're fucked.

Well it's meant to protect a woman who's spent the last 10 years taking care of somebody's home and family from getting dumped penniless on the streets. I'm OK with it in that sense, nobody held a gun to his head to make him marry. But it should definitely have a limited duration and not leave the guy unable to make ends meet.

her section about males roles and how male logic dosent really allow for fucks to be given was SPOT ON.

A high paying job and good health is important to my personal image of what makes me a man, Marriage is not because it provides no inherent value to my role as an individual man.

i.e being a good husband and family man != manliness like it used to.

Interestingly enough this womans ability to comprehend these things make her far more attractive them most women, for me that is.

Get rid of no fault divorce. You should have to sue your partner for a heinous crime of breaking the marriage vows to obtain divorce. If it isn't mutually agreed upon then lie in the bed you have made. People should have to take a test to obtain a marriage license something along the lines of adoption prescreenings.

The feminist bullshit is a big factor, if not the biggest factor.

I'd argue that 3rd wave feminism is a result of the legal favoritism women hold in the US justice system. I don't blame women either. If men had those same legal immunities, they'd be doing the same thing. I blame whoever thought that preferential treatment is somehow the same as equal treatment under the law.

Total wife material.

Watched every second of this. Nothing I didn't really know but she puts it so articulately. Worth watching, and I usually don't have time to invest in lengthy youtube videos.

Many men forget that they have to be your best friend -first- and then they can be your wife.

My father's basic rule was as follows 'You don't marry a girl because you love her. You're going to love plenty of girls in your life and not all of them are meant to be your wife. You marry a girl because you're stronger together than you'd ever be apart' which I think is generally a good idea.

I once would have said that, but now I'm not so sure. It's certainly a safer bet to marry a best friend, and it's true I've known a lot of just-for-fun or ill-considered marriages that never had a chance from the very beginning. But I've also known people who knew what they both wanted, got married almost on the spot while barely knowing each other, and their marriage simply bloomed. It was a beautiful thing to see. I have a feeling I can't really explain that this ties right into what Karen was talking about, and changing times; I'd love to hear her take on it.

This woman is extremely smart, she found a way to stay in the kitchen while still making a video and proving her point. Very attractive.

rofl I didn't even think about that. It HAS to be on purpose, a woman that smart understands symbolism all too well.

edit: Just watched another one. At the end it says it's filmed in the "Patriarchal Concentration Camp." I think I might be in love.

A very good analysis of why many men are checking out of marriage and society in general. Long but well worth it to watch the whole way through.

I had one of these. For many years. Trust me, it's one of those "grass is always greener" type wishes. In the unlikely event I ever remarry, I want her barefoot and in the kitchen and I want to be the one bringing home the money.

Speaking of things like okcupid, that's a huge factor in why women randomly leave at the slightest issue these days, even if it's an LTR or marriage.

Any woman, even <5.0 attractiveness, can find someone new in MINUTES. There's zero incentive to stay with anyone who fails to be perfect in every way. I've even had women I've been dating tell me pointedly, "my relationships last (x) amount of time, then I move on".

One girl I dated, I knew for almost 10 years in total. When I met her, she was dating a guy. That lasted 3 years. Then she dated another guy, again, lasted about 3 years. Then I dated her, and if you haven't picked up the pattern now, you could be dating her next.

Best part was the OKCupid stat, women rate 80% of men as below average attractiveness
