Yea, he's really talking about the power of individuals to do individual things. The internet has empowered us each. Technology in general has done this.

But power doesn't equal sovereignty, and that is what we have little of.

dude this is a proper time to say,, 'its all relative". also you said "all powerfull" and that doesnt clairify anything, it distorts.

it was a simple statement (the snowden quote in headline) and you are ""extrapolating"". e, typo

While this may be true. Those in power are more powerful today than ever as well. Kings of the past had armies w swords, now they have predator drones. I'm not sure we're any better off in the end.

If the people of our once great nation truly come together... it will be an unstoppable force.

I'll agree absolutely. But it's a big if at the beginning of that sentence. OTOH, I think exactly that will eventually happen. They got the guns but we got the numbers. And their tech can be beaten, and even turned against them. And lastly, their arrogance makes them foolish and vulnerable.

Those in power are more powerful today than ever as well.

This trumps any 'power' a non-high-society person has.

If you're a group of people bitching and moaning how Nestle is stealing your water, your voice won't even be heard because Nestle would have lobbyists and media manipulators paid by the millions to have their way.

We may be more informed as individuals now than ever before, but we most definitely are not powerful to any realistic degree.

I want to think that, however if I look at the hords of leftish progressive libtards in the western world I fear they wont let you to have any power.

Great talk it is nonetheless

All you need to get slapped with a lengthy prison term in Europe is say "the holocaust didn't happen" or "Muslims are ignorantly violent and we shouldn't let them in."

and 400 years ago it was "man that king is a pain in the ass", before then "the pope's kinda a dick lately isn't he?" before that "I think this Jesus guy has some good ideas" and before that "hey maybe I don't want to wear chains and do all your yard work for you".

The current sacred cow has always given you unfair treatment if you argue against it. However the overall trend is against this process, people are becoming more and more educated, and with that education comes a better understanding of how many errors of the past we truly have, and how to potentially guard ourselves from their repetition.

Perhaps this is a bad thing, because the lunatics managed to get quite large voices, and even some seats on the UN council because of that. Fugging crazy leftists.

But if the individual is stupid it could be dastardly
