Same for invidio.us. The proof is that when YouTube deletes a video, it's not available on invidious either.

That doesn't mean anything. Invidious was always just a passthrough for the video file, it never hosted a copy. The difference is that invidious passes the video stream through and blocks the youtube player and associated tracking javascript/cookies. Hooktube passes everything through and is essentially worthless.
