I loved his show. I didn't always agree, but it was entertaining to watch. Then he used Anita Sarkeesian as an example of the horrors of internet harassment.

There are many, many people who are harassed on the internet every day. Why pick such a decisive and mired in scandal example? Was there some tacit approval for her cause? Was his staff just too lazy or too incompetent to find a clear cut example?

After that I couldn't watch him anymore as now all his reports are just too suspect. At least that's my $.02.

You're not alone. He lost a lot of credibility with the gender wage gap farce and the internet bullying of only women episodes.

I thought this article was interesting in regards to the kind of viewing John Oliver is and how things arrived there.

That is a good article about it. It makes sense. I guess I thought it was independent, critical thought and not preaching to the choir. It took me long enough to identify it as such.
