That guy better be making some serious coin... that does not look at all like an "Oh sure, anybody can hold a camera" kind of job... I feel like camera operators get way less credit than they should. They do everything the star/host does, but with a boatload of camera gear on
Is there anyway we could see what some of those shots ended up looking like? Like is there a comparison video somewhere (even if not the exact same guy).
On rollerblades, in front of a speeding ambulance that's decidedly not going to turn away until the LAST possible second, then there's cars behind it going to turn in the other direction...
It makes for a great shot, but that's something I'd never do.
Yea and the guy rollerblading taking the shot of the guy on the bike. He is doing some serious speed to. It really would suck if there was a stone in the road.
The cameraman is awesome but the film editor sucks. Most of those segments didn't even give me a chance to focus on anything before they cut away to the next one.

So yeah, all we want you to do is do what the stuntman is doing. And film him.

Dirty jobs was one of the few examples I'm aware of where there is a legitimate "These guys are BAMF, and I want to say thanks"

I would love to see the drunk operator they hire for those hip "documentary" style shots.

TIL: To be a camera person for action movies, must be rollerblading ninja.
