The video is about voting and how congress passed a bill to record their votes. Which creates the party dynamic we see now with strict policing of votes and backlash against rogue votes. And it also make lobbying/vote buying effective because any congress member can just show the voting record to get paid.
He recommends secret ballots, which would cripple lobbying as results would start to be uncertain and would break the 2 party hedgemony as rogue voters could pass or prevent bills.
also debts from never ending wars like Vietnam, normally America benefited from the battle and wars were brutal and ended quicker, the USA and general public took spoils from the major wars. Wars after this were part of the military industrial complex, not meant to be won, Nixon also backed the US Dollar with the Saudi black blood of satanic oil...giving foreigners even more power over the US economy, also taking the USA away from the Gold standard.
There was a LOT more that happened in the 70's than this. The ending of dollar's convertibility to gold/end of breton woods system, USA's then-peak oil production and the six day war and yom kippur war and the oil embargo/flexing of opec's muscles, nixon's allowing china to engage in global and US trade, and much more. And I usually HATE these kind of long ass videos that drone on before getting to the point
BUT, the video does absolutely have a big and valid point and I'm glad I watched

Try this title: In the 70's secret Congressional ballots happened, and that has fucked up everything.
The original video title should also say that. And he should say that in the first two minutes of the video. Just get to the point, otherwise it's probably clickbait. He has some valuable things to say but at the beginning I don't know that, so I have little incentive to probably waste my time on it.
I remember talking about this in high school. It was a well understood thing from the outside of America how you always knew how people were bought as you could see who sent them money, and how they voted.

Well IMO the most solid part of the video, and the part that I was reminded of in this post: https://voat.co/v/politics/2253043/11143768/10#11143768 is all the fucked up data inflections in the 70s.
That's why I picked the title and linked to that part of the video.

Really didn't think that I'd sit and watch an hour long video. Really great ideas that I hadn't thought about. Good stuff. This needs to be spread.
