Best action film in a decade. The perfect use of CGI to bolster already amazing shots. Most green screen CGI stuff feels hollow because the original non CGI shot is mostly empty.

It's why i stopped watching the hobbit. When they got to the stupid mine cart thing the CGI was so obvious and distracting I just shut off the movie like "WTF am I doing..."

I am in complete agreement. I actually was a little saddened by all the CGI in the Hobbit. I have not seen the final one. Might never see it.

If you cant sit through hobbit you would hate to watch movies with me. I only watch the lowest rated movies. Thats where the gems are.

Interstellar.. one of the best looking movies ever (at least my opinion) .. no use of greenscreen

When I saw a production still of the interior of the singularity and noticed that all the images of the screens were practical effects I was very impressed.

As everyone knows Hugh Keays-Byrne was in the original Mad Max as Toecutter, during the production of that film the crew was given a couple dozen motorcycles from Kawasaki but were a couple hundred miles from where they were filming. Keays-Byrne gathered up the principle gang actors and stuntmen and collected the bikes and road them back to where production was taking place. During this ride the gang members started to defer Keays-Byrne and by the time they reached their destination they were acting as a real life gang,

During the filming of Fury Road he again associated with the stunt men and principle actors and formed them into a working team who would salute him as the Immortan similarly to the way his character was in the film.

If nothing else that man knows how to handle a crowd.

I just recently watched the first two Mad Maxes. The first one is pretty different. Civilization still mostly exists and the main enemy is just a regular gang.

But by the second mad max you're deep into post-apoc sci-fi territory. Road Warrior actually seemed to have a lot more different characters and explicit world-building compared to Fury Road, which was mostly confined to the truck, and which left the world ambiguous. Anyone who liked Fury Road should definitely at least check out Road Warrior if they want more.

Sometimes I wish it was socially acceptable to dress and look like that. But then I know there are a lot of people that would make it weird haha

I wish all our vehicles were as unique as all of theirs are.

Man, that is crazy. For some reason I just assumed most of the movie was CGI. I've been reading a little bit about in the last few days and it completely blows my mind that they did so many of the stunts with real vehicles and stuntmen. I don't know much about movie making but I definitely did not expect the IRL version of this footage to look so close to the final product.

I saw this shit in theaters twice. I've never done that with a movie before.

This was the most boring movie I've ever seen. The entire movie reminded me of driving across Arizona from the east coast to the west. So boring that the entire movie is some women driving in a truck while retard male stereotypes try to battle them off. I can't understand the appeal at all.

They're not retards, just suicidal and brainwashed. It turns out Immortan Joe's whole gang was loosely based off of groups in the world right now:

  • Highly charismatic but aging leader over a bunch of young men

  • Treating women as property and second-class citizens

  • Brainwashed suicidal soldiers that believe that blowing themselves up in battle leads them to eternal happiness

  • Desert themed

Sound familiar?

I'd like to see the movie, with special effects, without the colour saturation.
