Cool thing, but something seems off. 28kWatt for such a small bike should be able to produce much higher speeds. Judging from the torque that things still has near it's maximum speed, it's either deliberately limited, or he's not showing us all it can do.

I mean, a 250cc sportsbike with about 25HP can easily do 80mph. This thing is almost definitely much lighter and has much more power.

I looked at the 3220 specs and I'm confident the math is wrong. Maybe 2.8 kW.

That sounds a lot more plausible. ~4HP is still a whole lot for a souped up bicycle, considering ordinary mopeds don't even have 2HP and are capable of 30mph.

you guys are confused hes sayin 28k watt of MECHANICAL power not electrical power. A tour defrance rider can put out 1.8k watts with his legs.

But would you realistically WANT to go 80 MPH on what is basically a customized mountain bike designed for top speeds of 45-50mph?

I wouldn't.

Check out how unstable things get @ 0:38 / 3:37. He is going 47mh and it doesn't look like smooth riding at all.

That's what I was thinking. It's an accident waiting to happen.

I wouldn't either, but I would love to see others do it.
