When will people learn... Concealed carry, over time, deters crime. Open carry is an open threat. A challenge. This isn't someone casually carrying a handgun. He's walking down the street with a rifle strapped across his back. It's not illegal, probably, but it's certainly not a respectable thing to do. He got about the reaction he deserved, plus some racism.

Open carry means criminals will wait for him to leave before committing any crime. I'd prefer that. It means less conflict than needs to be.

Just a thought, let's consider a world where EVERY adult carries a weapon open carry style. Are you afraid of them? You have a gun too. If someone starts trying to use their gun and kill people, everyone else shoots that person. Do people now go into malls, schools, restaurants, etc. with a gun and start shooting up the place? Definitely not. Why? Because they KNOW, if they do, they will be shot and killed by any one of the hundred people around with a gun.

If no one has a gun but criminals, then citizens have to wait for the police to show up to stop the shooter. I can get off a few hundred rounds with a pistol before the police will arrive in most places.

And if you shoot as well as the american cops, you might even hit him with that amount of lead in the air.

It means he gets to exercise his other constitutional rights.

OC > CC I would rather deter an attacker than give them a surprise. OC is not a threat. I don't know where you got that libcuck idea.
