Please don't. The new one was just shit writing with a healthy dose of left wing politics.

Yeh, Mulder suspecting that the government is doing something they shouldn't be doing? Wtf is that about.... OH NO, so anti-authoritarian and unpatriotic -- TRUMP TUURMP. I was expecting Mulder to be waving the confederate flag and screaming "murhhh guhhnns" at the cancer man. What is left wing about the plot though? I suppose you just disagree with the plot in "fiction" and so it automatically becomes left wing propaganda or something?

I thought it was great though. You could tell with some of the cast, that the dialogue seemed a bit forced -- probably because they had a 14 year hiatus since the last season. The first episode tried to cram too much in, but that's a result of only doing 6 episodes.

It's been the only thing worth watching on television for at least several years in my opinion. Not that i even watch television anymore. Even if the pilot only manages to raise awareness of weather modification or privacy invading surveillance, by totalitarian regimes... then that's a start. The original X-Files got people interested in the whole Blackops/UFO subject. It could easily do the same thing across more topics with the 6 new episodes, and that would be great.

It's fiction that puts ideas into perspective, instead of distorting them, and not turning people into mind robots like most of the shit they air these days.

I feel like the new season is just missing something. The first 5 seasons of the X-Files (everything up to first movie) will always be my favourite. Season 5 had a few of my favourite episodes ("Unusual Suspects", "The Post-Modern Prometheus", "Bad Blood"). I don't really care for much after that. It was still alright, but it had started to lose it's appeal for me. I was always partial to the more offbeat, stand alone episodes, and never really cared too much about the whole overarching flip flopping conspiracy stuff. It was aliens! No, wait, it was the government! No, wait, it was aliens! Er, wait, it was government. Er, nevermind, it's aliens and the government, etc.
