That's why they wanted Hillary. No plot. Just a woman.

the surprise war in act one would have been a pleasant surprise to them.

Minorities are being treated like circus sideshows and they don't even know it.

Encourage the treatment by the left. They'll figure it out and vote accordingly.

I support gay rights, trans rights, etc, but the compulsive inclusion of token minorities is bullshit. Often they go for the most garish examples so their minority status is so adamantly clear that they become a circus sideshow. Let them have roles or whatever but don't make that the only substance of their character or appearance.

I just assume that their will be some gratuitous and awkward gay subplot shoved into every T.V show and movie these days. Normally I don't care but it has been really cringey lately.

It's been so common these days that I can barely watch anything made recently without being slapped in the face with a minority or non-traditional lifestyle. And it's always presented as awkwardly as Mass Effect Andromeda manages with its unnecessary exposition.

These people are so weird. What did they do for the few minutes while the other person was stairing?

Literally nothing. Not a single neuron fired.

I think this goes back to them being childlike. Children have a tough time putting time into prospective. While it was probably less that 5 seconds of staring, to an inmature mind it can be recalled as minutes.

Smugly imagine all the responses they would have to the inevitably homophobic comment to come, only to be faced with the one thing they couldn't deal with: a pragmatic request for an actual reason to care.

there is neither symbolism nor substance involved.

This probably leaves out the part where the tumblrina tells her friend she's a homophobic shit lord for not wanting to watch a movie with strong lesbians.

How dare you question this movie?!? Didn't you hear me, it has a lesbian in it! /s Seriously, I never understood why brokeback mountain got the attention it did. It was a really lame movie IMHO.

I still haven't ever seen it because just the description of it sounds like it is a boring ass chick flick about gay men. That said, I have seen this re-enactment.

I was surprised how they were upfront about Jake G's character being a predatory gay guy and that's essentially what got him killed. He wasn't really closeted or suffering. He seemed to enjoy the secretive lifestyle. And turning straight guys.

The other dude was sort of left with all these emotional scars because he thought they were in love. He was this silly romantic being drawn into a world that's all about clandestine, aggressive and taboo sexual encounters.

I was fully expecting some stupid shit about them being held down by "the man", the pain of forbidden love and eating pudding.

i saw one of those films a few years back. it was heavily dramatic and about 30 minutes in you had a general idea of how the story was gonna play out. but i was pretty impressed. it was far better than who i thought it would be, and nothing like the commercials you see.

damn, i just defended a tyler perry movie. LOL
