Look, I get the idea. Voat shows a lot of people who were probably butt-ugly to begin with, and then notes that they're proudly showing pics of themselves on Insta or whatever, and bam, we have this perception that everybody that's trans is pretty fucked up looking.

This plays into voat's other common perception of trans people as "proudly trans". I think these two kinda go together. I think a lot of the people screaming loudly about trans rights are saying, "I'm not passable, and I never will be, so you have to accept me like I am!"

I'm gay, and I'm not trans, but I know a decent few trans people. And truth is, yeah--you couldn't pick MOST of them out of the crowd. And they don't really want the attention, either! They don't want to show you their junk. They don't want to freebleed. They don't want tampon dispensers in the men's room. They want to look for sexual partners in places where they're likely to find trans-friendly people, and other than that, they just want to be teachers, cashiers, librarians, or whatever. They honestly just DON'T want to be noticed.

It's fair to point out that there ARE people with a trans agenda, people who want kids to be "deciding" their gender before puberty and submitting to permanent infertility in order to transition, people who want to go out there with hair and nails and lipstick like a poison arrow frog.

But the reason that you don't see many reasonable, quiet, socially conforming trans people is, legitimately, that the ones doing all that? You just call them 'sir' or 'ma'am' and go on your way and never think twice. They just want to fit in.

Nope, nope, nope. I live near Houston, which has a rather large trans population. You can EASILY identify 99.99999% of trans people. I'm not talking about carefully posed and edited photos. I'm talking about IRL. Trans people are SUPER easy to spot. Take all the "titty skittles" you want, you still have a man frame. I will grant you FtM are a bit harder to spot until you look closely. But they still have majorly feminine builds.

I don’t have excessively positive things to say about MtF people, so I suppose I have no argument there.

Oh, yeah? Tell me how many times god sat down with you, reviewed the video tape of your day, and pointed out each person that was actually trans with the power of omnipotent truth?

I'm not telling you I can lay out exactly how many trans people you have, or haven't passed. My only point here is that you can't, either. You don't have a magic "cheat sheet" to compare people against and say, "A-HAH! YOU there are on this list!"

Therefore, by definition, passable trans persons are just gonna be "people" to you.

Considering how rare the mental illness is, that's pretty astounding that you have not only befriended one. But multiple of them. So clearly you have a bias towards them. Not only that but you have a mental illness yourself in that you are a faggot.

So when you say

And truth is, yeah--you couldn't pick MOST of them out of the crowd.

I call bullshit because you don't think the same way we heterosexuals do. Even with the wonders of photo shop you won't be able to provide 1 single photo of a Tranny who I wouldn't stop to second guess their sex.

"That's some fine police work there, Lou. Hey, guys, come get a load of this guy! He figured out that the faggot has a bias favorable to Trannies!"

Dipshit, I go to bars where I have to deal with the occasional cute guy flirts with me awhile and then admits he doesn't have a dick. The 'T' in 'LGBT' stands for trans. You aren't impressing anybody with your second-grade level detective work there, buddy.

I call bullshit because you don't think the same way we heterosexuals do. Even with the wonders of photo shop you won't be able to provide 1 single photo of a Tranny who I wouldn't stop to second guess their sex.

Eh, y'know, would you be willing to sit down and take a test? You could be right, I don't really know enough about what being gay means about my brain. But there's a reason the word "traps" is a thing. It's a funny joke for straight guys to find tranny porn picture sets where the "lady" doesn't show her cock until the very end and then to trick their buddy into talking about how hot she is. And I don't mean "straight" people that come out as butt pirates three months later, I mean regular old lifelong straight dudes that really don't want to fuck something else that has a dick.

The point still stands that you can sort humans you've met into two groups: "I think they are trans" and "I do not think they are trans", and then, you go back and verify those assumptions never.

Insistinf that there are passable trannies that stay quiet about it is a bullshit argument because it cannot be refuted.

You insist that passable ones exist but nobody notices. That seems very implausible because if it were true then that would mean I would have come across people that I didnt know were trans until later after I had known them a little while. That has never happened

That’s an argument that my statement is unfalsifiable, which is correct—but if you then say, “therefore, your argument is wrong”, you’re just being an ostrich with its head in the sand.

Listen to you. Look at where you’re posting. Any trans person is going to avoid getting to know you, because they would be scared you would make a scene and become hard to work with, or serve food to, or sell fishing gear to, or whatever.

I’ll freely admit that I can’t pull out a magic “tranny map” and go through your day, and tell you how many you met. But unless you sit down with God and a beer at the end of the day and you have him review the tape with you, YOU don’t know EITHER.

And if they would just shut the fuck up and go about their lives rather than trying to change the entire culture to comfort their mental illness, we wouldn’t even be talking about them.

There's a great deal of the LGBT community that views loud trannies the way your average southern gentleman views the fat lady in the sponge rollers that gets on TV talking about how terrifying the hurricane was. They have nothing useful to say, they seem completely uninterested in living passable lives as the gender they supposedly transitioned to (what's the fucking point of transitioning if you're gonna be 'out loud, out proud' about being trans all the time anyway?), and all they're doing is making it harder for the rest of us to just be at peace.

That’s basically my point—there are a lot of passable, quiet trans people just living their lives and groaning about this loud group (not even gonna call it a minority) that insists on making it an embarrassing talking point.
