A book my dad had on the shelf that he gave me while I was in HS... The Shadows of Power: The Council on Foreign Relations and the American Decline by James Perloff... then i read None Dare Call It Conspiracy by Gary Allen. That pretty much cemented it for me. Both are a decent read btw, especially the last one.

What's the one by Allen about?

What was the big piece that stuck out in your mind?

As for dads, I will credit my dad for my interest in History. He subscribed to Military History magazines and I read them every month from the age of 7. By High School I knew more about History than my teachers. Then my mum bought used copies of the Encyclopedia and I read them all from A to Z (this was before the internet so I was bored)

The communist conspiracy, and how communism is just a tool for the elites like other forms of political social and financial pressure. The John Birch Society used to give it away for free back in the day.
