Following on from a NBC post I made about emotions being revived and by a NBC post Native made about eliciting emotions (with the Scandinavian beheading video), I would like to add another text for inspiration: The Raven.
At this stage, no matter if you are socially drinking or not, I think we're a lot more open to emotion and appreciating it on a different plane.
Why The Raven and why the version with Christopher Lee?
Well, it's an eerie poem, Christopher Lee has that bitter voice and Poe, like Lee, was pretty cool; it's a pity Poe let the drink get to him. And, after all, this is TRP... there can't be too much more of an emotive and masculine poem read aloud than this.
I hope you enjoy!
PS - please feel free to suggest other poems.

Good job quitting the drink. How Is your exercise plan coming?

Thanks.
My regime is about the same as when I was drinking: running 5 or 6 times a week and; body exercises half as much. Probably, I should get back on the surfboard soon, it's been a while, because I was giving myself some time off with other changes in my life too.

That sounds like an awesome program. All of us concerned about our families our country should first and foremost be concerned about ourselves. Breaking Free of destructive addictive habits and starting to exercise program eating healthy and getting good rest plus plenty of water, it's super important. My exercise plan includes Taekwondo, not because I think Taekwondo is any better than another martial art platform, it is because the teacher is so good. Although hand to hand combat should be avoided at all costs and to be considered a last resort with everything else has failed, is something I believe all white males and woman should get trained in

That was a great post! And I enjoyed listening to Christopher so much more than when I read this poem back in highschool/college.
Since we are sharing poems here is one of Pushkin's most famous ones called Prophet
It definitely has rings of Deus vult in it @carnold03

Robert Frost's "Nothing Gold Can Stay" is a good one for this too.
