Thanks to @Donkey_punch for carrying the mantle this week with great posts!
As this year carries on we quickly forget the most important part of the year that makes us human which is Thanksgiving and Christmas. They are important and they make us human because we realize that we are all here because 1. Someone gave us life and 2. someone helped us along the way.
This challenge is a personal one, however our challenges don't always have to be a burden just on our shoulders, which is why v/theredpill strongly encourages family, marriage and kids. These are the bed rock that helps you succeed on a personal level. Having someone that you know who loves you helps you to carry through the hard times...and the non-booze times.
Think about what you are grateful for, i'm grateful for;
-
Not having my identity tied to a social network (other than vote)
-
For having hobbies that help me learn and grow
-
For having a strong father figure who has helped me out with a lot of physical tasks I couldn't do myself.
-
For learning from seniors who really screwed their lives up by making mistakes in their youth and their attempts to teach the younger generations
What are you grateful for?
Also it's not to late to join as we are going to keep going for another 30 days

I’m thankful for my health and fully functioning body, my parents and especially my dad for making so many sacrifices and being such a sturdy guy to look up to (except for his political beliefs), And for not making more bad decisions that could’ve ended up in so many worse ways.

If we don't have our health we don't have anything.
Out of curiousity, those bad decisions that could have potentially been made, was it luck that they didn't happen or did you learn from past mistakes?

In my opinion luck is simply preparation meeting opportunity, but I’d say more learning from past mistakes. I basically fucked up for 3 years before finally getting away from breaking the law, then it took me another 2.5 years to look and realize that my alcohol consumption is the culprit.
