That definitely reads as an interesting week indeed. Congrats on the interview. I had to look up the term "silent generation" to know what you meant. All the men in my family in that age range are all dead now. Women know how to bury men like champs. So many questions I could've asked I didn't think to ask until the last few years and they're dead.
Speaking for myself, the only eventful thing I did out of the ordinary was go to confession. I haven't committed any mortal sins, just a few venial sins. The priest was honestly glad I'd come through for confession. At the end, I was hit with a question for my penance I'd never considered before and I'm still wracking my mind how to tackle it.

Yeah that's the curse of being young. We don't realize how much wealth of knowledge our family and ancestors have until it's too late.
Congrats on going to confession, I know you've been meaning to go for months. Care to share what the question was?

I honestly don't remember the whole thing. He mentioned something regarding the ten commandments and asked if I follow them because I love god. I've been trying to process the question as, do I love god? I'll be meeting with a priest later today to get some perspective on how I could answer that question for myself. I've never pondered that question before.
