Yea I read about this, I don't personally see it as convincing enough in its investigations nor relevant/useful enough to discuss.
It's an interesting idea of correlations, but correlation =/= causation. We've known that the East was less developed for a while now. The question is how to specifically get those good attributes (tribalism, family centric mentality) back within our current context from an aggressive novel standpoint rather than regressing backwards.
I see it as sort of like that observation on male DNA retention in female partners; it's not useful or meaningful.
