The guy seemed to stop caring for me and just get jealous. I had to take care of the child...I couldn't just dump him in a corner..but if I didn't ..well I was ignoring him...OK I will look to you and care for you Dad...but not when hes screaming the house down....and you could try a nappy change and play time dad?'

I suppose what I am saying is that the father never even looked at his son and expected me to ignore the child for him(the father)...and he was such a loving and caring person before that (remember this was a child on a ventilator and about to die for the 1st 3 months)

I grew to hate his selfishness during that first 3 months

When we love someone it takes a while to lose the rose coolured spectacles

And TBH it is a story I have heard time after time...the guy is great..and then gets jealous of the baby..so some women/men/couples must have worked out how to do the two....some marriages survive?

EDIT If they could tell the rest of us how to do it..they would earn millions

EDIT and I'm not saying its all the guys fault. I KNOW my priorities changed from him to the dying baby...so I did change my behaviour as well
