Shortly after Gaddafi was killed in 2011, a group of Russian doctors and nurses who were working at a hospital in Tripoli wrote an open letter to the world.
They described some of the conditions that existed for Libyan citizens (~7 million population ... tiny) prior to the US-led (cough, Hillary, cough) destabilization campaign ...
All medical care was free.
Education expenses through post graduate courses were free ... often including room and board at overseas universities.
Subsidized housing and fuel/utilities.
Young married Libyan couples were given $50,000 wedding gift and free housing.
Libyans wishing to become farmers were given 1,000 acres of land and all the needed equipment (tractors, etc) free.
The Gaddafi-led 'Man Made River project is still the largest irrigation project in the world.
Western sanctions prompted an extensive degree of adaption and innovation by Libyan engineers and industry.
Gaddafi had stated numerous times that his regime was the single biggest impediment in preventing an unrestricted tsunami of illegal immigration into Europe from sub Saharan countries.
It all makes one wonder if the public isn't being told the whole story.
Gaddafi was one of the greatest leaders if not the greatest leader in our life time. The man would ride through the cities in a jeep. No security no bullets proof glass just out amongst the people.
Now ask yourself why do your elected officials need so much ((security)).

Spot on! He was the only African ruler who shared the oil revenue wealth with the people. Had to be removed because he was planning to take Lybia and many other countries off the petro $ onto the gold standard - wonder who got all the gold...

I remember being in liberal circles at the time. This was when Obama was riding high promising to be "anti Bush". Then it flipped and he bombed even more countries. Liberals who just spent 8 years criticizing war mongering Bush, started sucking Obamas dick for doing the same exact thing.
Patriot, much of what you share I had found also, and also heard the Libyan people love Americans but did not trust our Govt back then. something Fake news MSM did not share with us.

The best thing about Barrack Obama is his half-brother (who tweeted this video).
