SearX is a brilliant decentralized solution to the internet's current lack of private, uncensored, search engines. Someone needs to branch it and create a version that makes it more stable and accessible to the masses.
Their algorithm is working so that when you type a query "123 new cases" it returns all locations where "123" is attached to that query of " new cases". It is selectively returning "new cases" {AND} "123". Remember that their coders are streetshitters whose knowledge of advanced Boolean Logic is limited to ("street" + "shit" {GOTO} "which side"<now~>?)
