The Electors will be freed. The election of the President is a federal election. Federal elections are controlled by the federal Constitution and laws of the United States, not controlled by the State Constitutions. State laws forcing the electors in the state to vote for anyone in particular ie; the popular vote winner in their state or the national popular vote winner if they passed that type of law which is what they would have to do if they join the NPV compact. The word elector means the same thing Constitutionally in regard to voting for Representatives, Senators or for President. The ONLY difference is in order to vote for President you must get appointed to be a 12th Amendment Elector according to the Manner chosen by your State. Think about this, if States could force an Elector to vote for a specific person in one federal election , they would would be only 1 piece of legislation away from telling all Electors how they must vote in all federal elections. There is a lot more buttressing my arguement, those details will have to wait.

Great post Patriot and that's how the SCOTUS should rule, but we know these judges have pulled some serious crap in the past, so until we get ruling. we can not take anything for granted.
