Again, a reminder, to obtain HEIRLOOM seed, which many seed exchanges support. It frustrates Monsanto and globalist attempts to diminish hardy genetics and dogged dependence upon hybrids. Also not failing to mention foraging wild foods. Edibles are everywhere. The weeds that the pretty lawn crowd hate are actually SUPERFOODS. I don't have to buy greens at the store, or can mix them with wild stuff for more civilized palates. And mushrooms? Got 18 pounds of lion's mane in one fell swoop and eight pounds of oyster mushrooms. I supplement the meow loaf, I mean meat loaf with one third ground wild mushrooms. Good nutrition and medicine. Just better know what you are doing. There are old mushroom hunters and bold mushroom hunters, but there are no old, bold mushroom hunters. Decades of foraging, never have had a mishap. Oh, and fresh roadkill. Two deer so far this year. Yeah, in crisis there will be competition, but that would be for ANY food source. Last deer we got, we flung it into the truck and did a u turn. Almost immediately after this Asian woman comes driving down the road VERRRRYY SLLOOOOWLY. She was scoping out where the deer was a moment ago. Then she accelerated off. She looking for that deer!! Equal opportunity foraging. kek
