Ted wasn't born in the US...in Calgary. His father didn't become a citizen until 2005...wikipedia. His mother left the US at age 16, never established her majority in the US. He is a naturalized citizen...not eligible to be president...MUST be a natural born citizen to be President.

That Wikipedia entry had a lot of editing fights. Even the National Enquirer made changes to it. After Obama, when Cruz announced his candidacy the left kept fucking with it claiming Ted wasn't eligible to try for some payback. They tried to claim Paul Ryan wasn't & vandalized his Wikipedia too.

Even high schools don't accept Wikipedia as a reliable source because the entries are frequently "Vandalized". In this case, there are more than just this edit war:

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Rafael_Cruz/Archive_1

Rafael Benvenido Cruz was born in Matanzas, Cuba, got a student Visa, Came to the USA in 1957, applied for & was awarded asylum soon after it expired because of Cuba's Communist Revolution. This would have been around the time of Bay of Pigs & the Cuban Missile Crisis 1961-62. Asylum does grant US citizenship one year after filing for asylum. The Wikipedia piece fails to mention any of this or someone edited it out.

Ted's Mother was born in Delaware. She & his father met working for the same oil company, married, & were sent to one of the company's Canada sites.

Yes, Ted was born in Calgary, Canada in 1970. At the time, his parents were still US citizens, so he would be considered a Natural Born American Citizen under the Immigration & Naturalization Act.

In 1973 his father applied for Canadian citizenship. Soon after, his parents divorced & Ted left with his mother & sisters & moved to Texas. Where he entered grade school.

I know it is complicated, but by our laws, Ted Cruz IS a Natural Born American Citizen.
