Maybe I don't know enough about the story. Probably because it doesn't even register on my clown world meter. Did she do something illegal? As Dems (and let's face it, a lot of Reps) go, her actions are probably tame. She's a dime a dozen lefty who holds no power in the party. Coup 2.0 is way more interesting and this seems like an unnecessary distraction.

Yeah rules against affairs with staffers (for what it is worth).
Illegal no but for a lot of people who vote, its immoral. People of faith do not like this sort of stuff. It also reinforces the growing view that the Dems are full of immoral, two faced nut jobs.

Two-faced personas are of concern, and there are rules for staffers not to be flicking the bean of their superiors.
It raises flags concerning ethical boundaries.
ie: Pay raise for my bean-flicker, no pay-raise for the more competent individual whom doesn't flick my bean.
