Really good, very interesting and logical argument -- and you may be right -- but it depends on two things. Whose side is Mitch McConnell on? How many corrupt globalist RINOs are there in the Senate? Mitch is going to know the vote before it is taken. That is his job. The first thing Mitch McConnell said to Trump in their very first meeting was: "Don't ever even talk about draining the swamp again -- ever." He is corrupt and compromised. He is worth 32 million dollars. His Chinese wife has family inside the Communist Chinese Government. But McConnell is running for re-election. He is going to say and appear to do all the right things. These guys are really sneaky. They understand "political theater". In the Senate it is a trial. They cannot table it like it is a bill. They have to convict or acquit. What if McConnell says: "This whole thing is a sham -- the House has given us no evidence. There is nothing to investigate. It is a political hack job. It is ridiculous. We are going to take a vote right now, and shut this stink bomb down. There is no there there. We are not going to waste our time on it." So he takes the vote and to everyone's surprise it passes -- Trump is convicted by a combination of Democrats and RINO Republicans. McConnell appears angry and surprised -- Trump is gone, McConnell wins re-election. A few RINO Senators retire, and are replaced by people just like them. My scenario makes more sense to me because our government is so corrupt. Your scenario imagines that McConnell and the corrupt Republican Senate are going to let Trump do what he wants. To me this thing is completely choreographed by Pelosi and McConnell and Schumer before it ever happens. The headlines are written weeks in advance. McConnell has his posture all worked out. If you haven't noticed, McConnell and Schumer plan things out together -- so as to appear to be "good cop, bad cop" to their bases. This is a dangerous moment for our Republic. Your thinking is brilliant. I wish it were possible. It would be really fun to watch. I respect your opinion and the brilliance of your mind and will listen carefully to anything you say. I may be too cynical.
