Hmmmm, someone is lying. This article from Newsweek (clearly not on the Trump team) shows 46.7 of the 205 miles that funding has been allocated for have been built (as of the 7/2/19 article) - that is ~22% in 2.5 years.

I would guess some are counting new fencing that replaces old fencing. Either way, it’s not much.

At the same pace is would reach ~44% in 5 years, and ~66% at the 7.5 year mark. We need to get more done, we don’t have a lot of time
