As of this time, Germany says Merkel is fine. She herself says she is fine. But our eyes tell us she isn't fine.
Merkel's first bout of uncontrolled whole body shaking was outside at a State ceremony involving patriotic music. The moment the song ceremony was over, she spoke to her State guest, walked with him and seemed to snap out of it immediately. Only as she stood in place, she shook. She pinched or clasped her fingers to try to stop it without success, it appeared.
The second bout of whole body shaking by Merkel also involved standing formally in place, indoors this time. The same touching of the hands/fingers together (self-soothing?) in an apparent effort to stop it also was present.
I am listing a multitude of links that discuss conditions that can cause whole body shaking. Just FYI. I'm not drawing any conclusions because we have too little information to go on.

(She walked fine. Walking seemed to snap her out of it. So it doesn't seem like this applies.)

"Strangely enough, I researched these symptoms and came up with a lot of answers that said it was a build up of adrenaline through stress and drinking some sweet juice or having fruit can help burn some of that off. That is also why the body shakes, to get rid of some of this excess adrenaline."
