Comey didn't want full disclosure, he wanted to be asked for classified information in a public setting so he didn't have to answer the question. That's why Grassley offered to have it video taped and released to the public after the hearing, which Comey refused, thus showing the world that it wasn't the public exposure that he was concerned about.

Yeah, my bad; poor choice of words; he wanted full "transparency" and hopefully will obtain way more "transparancy" than he ever bargained for.
