Agree to a point. However, there's a difference between getting caught in a sin ("There is none righteous, no not one.") as did Graham, and pursuing sin, as did McCain. Q stated that the Republic could not handle the arrests that COULD be made (those of us who get caught in a sin). The focus is on those that SHOULD be arrested (those who pursue their sin). Forgiveness for the repentant; judgment for the unrepentant. After pursuing the Church to destroy it, Saul (whose name was changed to Paul) became the greatest proponent and apologist for Christianity after being freed from his blindness.

Thank you for your encouraging view. I will continue to pray. In the end God Wins. All happens under His control according to His Will. Our Lord Christ said we would be persecuted by the world for following Him. We choose eternal life with Him :)

No disrespect, but your religious doublespeak is blasphemous. If you are caught in a sin, then you did pursue that sin. A sin, as you put it, is not somehow forgiven or lessened because someone uses that sin as leverage. The severity of the "sin" would be a different subject. For instance if Graham cheated on his wife with an appropriately aged man or woman, sure it is a sin but not along the same severity if Graham cheated on his wife with an underaged man or women.
Either way, if he allowed his "sin" to sway his moral character, then he has NO moral character. If he was used, blackmailed, controlled by whatever dirt they had on him, then he is corrupted. one does not get repentance just because he seeks it. There are things you can't come back from, no matter how hard you try.

"Pursue sin" was perhaps an unfortunate phrase. It was an attempt to differentiate between a repentant vs non-repentant heart. There are some who are sold-out to sin and have no desire for repentance, probably because they don't recognize a need for repentance, and really don't care. On the other hand, ALL(of us) have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. This is a fact. Therefore we are ALL under the curse of sin and thus we have all allowed sin to sway our moral character. There is NONE righteous, no, not one (excluding Jesus, the unblemished Lamb). This is a fact. Since none of us are righteous and all of us have sinned, the entire human race finds itself under the curse of sin and incapable of standing in righteousness before the holy God. But, because of God's great love for His us, He Himself provided the solution to man's problem. He took upon Himself, through the scourging and crucifixion of Jesus (the Son of God--God Himself {"he who has seen Me has seen the Father"} and {"I and the Father are One"}), the sin of us all, and made it possible for us to stand before Him in the very righteousness of Jesus, by appropriating this righteousness through faith in Jesus. The power of sin was broken by Jesus on the cross, but that power over sin must be appropriated, individually, by faith in the Son of God ("For by faith are you saved..."). Praise God. God has made provision for all sinners, but He does not force any to accept His provision (belief in Jesus). Yet He makes it clear that faith in the Savior is the only way to stand before Him on the day of Judgment. The Bible makes it clear that it is not about the "trying" ("because by the works of the Law no flesh will be justified in His sight; for through the Law comes the knowledge of sin.") but rather it's about the believing ("Abraham BELIEVED God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.") that causes regeneration and becoming a "new creation" in Christ.
