There is a fundamental difference between a classic "gas station" and an electric charge one, storage of fuel is way more available in the "classic fuel", this means that you can fuel up petrol for a few days in a classic station, not so on electric ( if grid power fails)

Also, a any meaningful number of electric cars will stress the electric grid a lot, possibly shutting it down.

Assume just 1/3 of cars go electric, it seems to me that the average electric power consumption would double.

Anybody helping with the numbers here ?
