Hi,

I am a self employed computer support specialist with over 20 years of experience in the field. I used to participate heavily "on that other place" in their techsupport sub. If needed, I'd be happy to PM my user name so you can verify that over there.

I never bothered applying for their "trusted tech" flair, since my feeling was (and is!) that it's not someone's title or number of certifications that count, but their knowledge, willingness, and ability to help others that really counts. Accordingly, it's no big deal if you should not decide not to grant me a verified flair. I still intend to help out here as much as I can one way or the other. But it never hurts to ask.

Thanks!

I enjoy popping in from time to time to help out when free. Can you help me out with one of those verified flairs? I've held a systems administrator title for the last 10 years, have a senior engineer title now, am vmware and itil certified, have been building PC's for the last 25 years, the first being an 8088, and worked in Intel's storage development lab as a linux silicon validation engineer helping bring the X79 patsburg into existence. I know my way around the PC fairly well.

I have A+, Network+ and Security+, own a company that does computer repair, malware removal, network setup, etc. Does that count?

I also teach A+, N+ and S+.
