He was convicted for stealing and forging phone and credit cards, computer fraud, data espionage, insider trading. Then he snitched out his partners and worked for a famous (mostly copyright) legal troll lawyer (who later lost his license).

He made dozens of claims on mailing lists, newspapers and live on tv and almost none of them were actually true. After 9/11 he started a group called Young Intelligent Hackers Against Terrorism (Yihat) and claimed he already had a cooperation with the FBI (funny in retrospective). He tried to convince the hacking scene to sell trade "secrets" releasing them to the public, which was already a no go in the german/european hacker culture.

Besides that, his posting style was a mix between 4chan and circlejerk, and he always called himself Germanys most famous hacker, which was a bit awkward.
