I think this has been clear from day 1 to any techie that dove into the details of the story. Convincing the mainstream media to be accurate and honest seems to be the slog.

I have 2 questions:
What is the checks-and-balances system that was supposed to be in place to hold FBI accountable for, say, lying under oath to the congress and courts?
Why is the above mechanism not kicking in?
