dual boot scares people who've never even tried linux ever. this method doesnt install anything on your pc, only on a spare flash drive. it is all self-contained on the usb flash drive entirely, you could unplug your HDD.
the idea being afterwards they can decide - knowing linux is a real os that does what they need it to.

Why not suggest dual-boot? GRUB will handle Windows 10, so the only change he'd notice is being able to select his OS at boot.
