Watson is not old enough to run for president, you need to be 35. Looking at some of Watson's policies this seems to be a good thing. Entitlements are not a way to build a strong economy. Every dollar that a government spends must first be taken from someone who earned it. Depriving that person of their natural right to invest that dollar as they see fit.
It is a common trap to focus on government spending and look at all the good it does. But every bit of good the government does comes at a cost. A cost of the unseen. The US government takes $2 Trillion per year out of the productive economy. What would that money have done instead if it was left in private hands?
Government is necessary to govern. We need military, courts, police, and prisons. Anything other than those basic functions is a shell game. Taking money from the left pocket, burning 30% of it, and putting it into the right pocket.
