Just be careful with which upgrades you let come through as MS is trying to sneak it's spyware into 7 and 8.1.

Microsoft is being overly aggressive, that much is for sure. From a software developer's point of view the less legacy junk out there the better, but it's unrealistic to expect everyone to upgrade.

10% of internet connected computers are still running WinXP. That's a bit... concerning. But Win7 will be my last MS OS as well, I don't like what I'm hearing with W8/W10. Next reformat will be to install Linux.

I've read mixed reviews. Some say that the Pro/Corporate/Enterprise versions aren't bound to automatic updates. Others say that at best there's a 'grace period' before the updates are applied.
