I just love how the Microsoft puppets are going around saying that Google and Facebook do all kinds of user tracking, so its alright if Microsoft starts doing it too, when not that long ago, they were slamming Google for doing these things.

Ladies and gentlemen, when was the last time Google or Facebook charged you a hundred bucks for the privilege of being subjected to these business practices?

The price of a copy of Windows when building a new computer for one's self is still $100. It should be free if Microsoft is going to spy on me.

That's not what they are saying, that's just what they are hearing. Where was all the noise about Facebook, Google, Apple, and Amazon when they did things like this? Oh, there was none. That's what they are saying, "what makes MS so special" and so far the excuses are bullshit.

It's a desktop OS. So, that's just a definition, a mobile phone suddenly makes it ok? It costs money so I should have to be "spied on" There is still no evidence of this, telemetry isn't spying, if that's the case, stop using most software. Also, paying money does not entitle you to what you want. The product is what it is, take it or leave it.

No one is listening anyway, the Linux crowd has cried wolf far too much and beat the horse into ash. I can't even take this subverse seriously most of the time because all it is is fuck MS Linux roxorz talk. any actual tech news or interesting new products don't even get discussed.

All of it is just tired noise that most people are ignoring now because people simply wont shut the fuck up about it.

Analytics that cannot be opted out of, and can easily pinpoint an actual user, and are used for the purpose of selling to advertisers and advertising?

Well I'm not sure this author wants to start talking about the spin people are putting on terms with the spin they are trying to put on the gathered data as statistics when ignoring that, you can't fucking turn off the data gathering! They want to blast Apple for what the privacy policy says and I can see that as a valid complaint. But one says they can, the other has displayed that they are doing this.
