The reason people dont buy on mobile is because it's hard to see the merchadise on a tiny little screen, Also bigger screen means you can look at more stuff at once where on mobile you can really only look at 1 thing at a time.
I've casually looked at things on my phone a few times, but the closest to serious shopping I've done on it was looking up which exact part I needed when I was buying in the real world. Between things like that and how long it takes to shop on mobile, I have to wonder whether the amount of time spent on each class of device is actually proportionate to intent.
