Comcast "invests" a good amount of money into the political system to ensure that they aren't held accountable. The politicians that take the money are every bit as guilty as Comcast in this regard.

I cannot think of a clearer modern example of why monopolies are completely and utterly evil.

When the Bell System were broken up in the 80s, it was done for far less than Comcast are doing now.

Comparing data to gasoline is a new level of retarded.

Especially since Comcast doesn't even produce any of the data that is downloaded. The CEO is literally attempting to kill economies that are based around the internet so to slip his dick in the corpse and have their way.

I want Comcast to be broken up. But we can't all get what we want, can we.

Agreed. You're consistently as insightful as your namesake.

...T-Mobile, AT&T, Charter, or any other company that has interpreted Net Neutrality regulation in bad faith.

It's going to be funny when the cable monopolies start screwing up facebooks user base and then the proles get ejected out of the matrix into a world of alternative mesh networks.

tfw when this might actually improve computer literacy.

Sometimes you gotta fall on your face before you can walk.

There has rarely been progress without failure and nothing ushers in greater change than upsetting the ignorant masses.

Sometimes I wonder if he actually understands how a network works it sure doesn't seem like any of these companies CEOs do, maybe they honestly think that's a valid comparison.

Comcast, believe it or not, is actually a "family business." Here is the wiki page on the original founder who died earlier this year. They've always had family members in control of the company since its inception. In other words they know exactly what they're doing. They're just sociopaths - apparently a great trait for success in a capitalist society.

This is unfortunately true, sociopaths and psychopaths succeed in capitalism very well and ruin the system for everyone else. People that hold office need extensive psychological testing before they are allowed to hold office.

Comcasts CEO can get tongue fucked by a giraffe on PCP.

I'm trying to imagine that, and I'm not sure that is entirely unenjoyable. You get mad props for creativity though.

"Just as with every other thing in your life, if you drive 100,000 miles or 1,000 miles you buy more gasoline. If you turn on the air conditioning to 60 vs. 72 you consume more electricity,"

That's not how a connection to the Internet works. At all. The connection is already established, it makes no difference how much I use it if the connection can support it. How nobody in the tech industry has called this cunt out is beyond me.
