This problem needs to be addressed soon, the classic victims of this bullshit are the small sites that just can't handle or even afford the protections against this attacks.

Protonmail was attacked by state actors. IMO this is being done on purpose to ensure that independent news and service providers have a hard time existing, especially the most effective ones, so that people are forced to use services and news sites that are compromised or serve up only propaganda.

Oh yeah, I know the tools exists; however, they are quite expensive.
The point I failed to express is that no site owner should be forced to pay for an expensive service to avoid a criminal attack, frequently carried with total impunity.
