  • Contacts: It allows you to find phone contacts on Twitter.
  • Location: To share location on Twitter.
  • SMS: For Twitter to send 2FA SMS.
  • Photo/Media/Files: It allows you to upload Photos etc.
  • Camera: So you can take photos.
  • Microphone: I don't know, probably for videos.
  • Wifi-Connection Information: I don't know.
  • Device ID & Call Information: I don't know.

wifi connection could be to determine how often they try to pull from the server in the background, so users on mobile data will use less data.
Device ID could be for authentication reasons.

These are just my guesses

AFAIK from what I have read of Googles Android dev guide, if the app requests for example to take a photo "through" the Android API and not directly itself, the app doesn't have to ask for permission for this.
