And that is exactly the big flaw in the Linux community. Bad in marketing.

Don,'t tell the users that it is open and free and more secure. Show them that with just simple mouse clicks you install the OS, without having to resort to editing config files or go through a hardware compatibility list.

In fairness man, it's hard to keep up with Linux. I almost always need to ask people to find out some simple things. Look on the bright side, at least it isn't people bitching about systemd.

My last CLI experience with Linux was kernel 2.2 -> 2.4 jump. My last UI was Ubuntu about two years ago. My how things have changed. Ubuntu felt like a copy of OSX but things, such as printers, were FAR easier to get working than when I last used Linux. More items Just Worked (TM).
