God I love this man.

The man is a fraud. I must admit a successful one. He basically was/is a "persona non grata" in Germany, not only in the financial sector but also for most of hacker community (European/German meaning of hacker, not the Hollywood version).

I will always remember him as the first person on my kill file ;)

EDIT: Thx for the downvoats but please read my reason before downvoating

He was convicted for stealing and forging phone and credit cards, computer fraud, data espionage, insider trading. Then he snitched out his partners and worked for a famous (mostly copyright) legal troll lawyer (who later lost his license).

He made dozens of claims on mailing lists, newspapers and live on tv and almost none of them were actually true. After 9/11 he started a group called Young Intelligent Hackers Against Terrorism (Yihat) and claimed he already had a cooperation with the FBI (funny in retrospective). He tried to convince the hacking scene to sell trade "secrets" releasing them to the public, which was already a no go in the german/european hacker culture.

Besides that, his posting style was a mix between 4chan and circlejerk, and he always called himself Germanys most famous hacker, which was a bit awkward.
