Why do you want to use an outdated and non-secure operating system? Win7 was Windows before Win10, with its intrusions via the Microsoft big-brother backdoor. Give linux a try: Ubuntu, as an example, is ridiculously easy to install and there are lots of ways to get help and advice. There may be a bit of a learning curve but Linux provides far more versatility when dealing with different types of file systems.

Not a fan of Ubuntu. Last time I tried it out, there were ads/suggestions in the search window and I hate the idea of having to remove stuff from a fresh install.

If you want APT as a package manager, try Mint. It does have systemd, but if you're new to linux it's not a huge concern, especially coming from windows.

I prefer an arch-based distro for Pacman, works better than APT and is less annoying to use.
