I said pretty much anything. And I'm fairly sure whatever it is you are talking about can be made to work if you just write the driver for it yourself. You might have to reverse-engineer the printer, though.

Why in fuck in 2019 should I have to do that to use a common peripheral.

So, how do I use it on a convertible laptop, the fastest PC growth segment, while we're at it?

The real question is why you'd want to use a printer in 2019. Is there even a difference between PC, laptop, convertible laptop and blue painted laptop?
