I'm a fan of free market, sure. My comment was more about executive order involvement for something that isn't (or hasn't been) provable. In this case it just happens to be a Chinese company. My concern is that with the available information, it appears to be motivated more by the two big brands in the United States than spying. Apple openly reports user data in the middle of the night, and Samsung is a Korean company. If the whole argument is that Huawei devices have the potential to spy on Americans, I feel that all mobile devices would then need to be banned.

You mean the Chinese communist party. All Chinese companies are the Chinese communist party. There is no differentiation there is no private ownership in China there is no free market. The US government has a problem with a foreign nation state deploying hundreds of millions of controlled listening devices in it's backyard they do not give a shit about the spying devices under their control but they have to care about the ones controlled by an adversary.
