One of my youtube accounts was shadowbanned for about a year. I noticed this when people stopped commenting on my posts virtually overnight. It was like I became a ghost. Let's not forget shadowbanning.

Yeah, same. Seems like shadowbanning is preferred to actual banning, which makes you wonder whether these stats include shadowbans and what they would look like with shadowbans included. It also seems like they expire automatically after a certain amount of time. I got shadowbanned about a year ago and I recently decided to try posting a comment just for the hell of it: lo and behold, people responded. YouTube is very opaque with its policies so it's unlikely we'll find out how the system works but I'm starting to think it might be an automated one-year ban as standard.

Idk what Googles policy is but it may be worth checking out.. I feel I’ve been shadowbanned on YouTube also, but it seems like it’s everywhere I’m signed into that google account. If I’m in any random chat room under that account, type a message, and look at the chat from a dif browser not signed in... those messages don’t appear. When they shadowban you, it might be the entire google account linked to your YouTube. Maybe

Did you ever consider that maybe you were just an uninteresting faggot?

No, not really.
When I'd go from having dozens or hundreds of responses and "thumbs up", to practically zero overnight....it kind of told me something. Especially, when this happened no matter what video I'd comment on.
Youtube has an unofficial shadowbanning policy.
