It’s sad to see what has become of the formerly free and anonymous internet. It got too big for its own good. Back in the 90’s it was just for chat rooms, gaming, and porn so security wasn’t an issue. Now that everybody does business, banking, even their houses and cars are connected to the internet it has gotten much more serious and they’ve clamped down on many of the freedoms that made it enjoyable for a more sanitized, secure, and corporatized version.

Internet: Too big for its own good.

Companies and countries: Too big to fail.

The scary thing is how new it is and how cheaply it will be to expand internet infrastructure into the future. The IoT might be the fall of America.
